Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Update

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 US jobs under a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are expected, as the firm intending to announce complete information via its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.

As of December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not yet commented regarding the report.
